Drawing inspiration from ancient Egyptian manuscripts, hieroglyphics and inscriptions, Palm Trellis is an intricate, multidirectional design hand-painted in the Liberty design studio. Stylised palm trees are arranged in a neat alternating grid, creating a subtle reference to historic artistic depictions of Egyptian gardens.

Beautifully balanced between ancient inspiration and contemporary design, the structured repeat gives Palm Trellis a wonderfully graphic quality. Its orderly arrangement and delicate hand-painted detail make it a versatile print with a distinctly modern feel.

Palm Trellis forms part of Gallery Garden, the second chapter of the Autumn/Winter 2026 collection, exploring the history of gardens and the art they have inspired through the ages, from Egyptian and Roman influences to Persian miniature gardens and Japanese Zen landscapes.
